Ion Josceanu Dipl.Eng, MBA

Ion is not one to settle for the status quo. That’s a good thing, given the extent and pace of change in the operations management profession.
Ion with a mechanical engineer background graduated the Executive MBA program of University of Washington & ASEBUSS Bucharest in 1997. He had the advantage to add on the economic knowledge to his previous experience as an engineer with a great result: a shooting star career in operations management.

Ion started the hard work of developing a competitive local suppliers network for raw materials, packaging, marketing materials, the logistically preparation and national launching of new products and/or packages on the Romanian market for Coca Cola.
In a short period of time he took the responsibility as the Operations Manager- Southeast Europe: Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Romania, Moldova, Slovenia, Yugoslavia for another multinational company: Pepsi Beverages International.
In his position dealing with suppliers, manufacturing and quality topics, logistics developments, Ion successfully implemented the PepsiCo standards and programs in the field of operations in the Southeast Europe region. Ion and his team have been applying imagination and determination to develop the supply chain better.
He is constantly thinking of new ways to add value to companies. His innovative ideas in implementing new operations in Eastern Europe result in new challenges for operation start-ups.
A key element of Ion’s leadership profile is his mentoring work with young business professionals. Ion is especially pleased with the outcome of young managers facing present market conditions. He is always sharing some of his early battles in chemical, food processing and beverages industry, and over time, he was able to help the young managers see a longer-term future in the industry. The man has gone on to carve out a successful career in the logistics and supply chain sector.
